Todd and Scott founded 2CRRE to give people making life‑changing moves to Costa Rica access to deeply knowledgeable, bilingual, and highly ethical advisors who truly listen and align real estate decisions with their lifestyle and long‑term goals. They built the company as a place where every agent is personally trained by them to combine market expertise, emotional intelligence, and unwavering client‑first service throughout even the most complex transactions.

As demand expanded into new regions, we followed, establishing offices, recruiting local experts, and investing heavily in technology and human resources to serve every corner of the country at the highest standards.

Co-Founder & Lead Broker

The co-founder and broker of 2Costa Rica Real Estate, bringing over two decades of hands-on experience in Costa Rica's property market. Todd has built his career on deep local understanding, strategic focus, and a commitment to service rooted in integrity. His background from the University of Colorado Boulder in international business and his early work in tourism sharpened the skills that now define his real estate leadership: clear communication, high standards, and client-centered guidance.

Today, he is known not only for his market expertise but also for his ability to navigate high-stakes decisions with emotional intelligence and professionalism. At 2Costa Rica Real Estate, Todd Cutter is directly involved in business development, complex negotiations, brokerage, and agent training. Every agent is personally mentored by him, an intentional decision that ensures company values are embodied.

Co-Founder & Lead Broker

The co-founder and lead broker at 2Costa Rica Real Estate, moved to Costa Rica in 1997 after finishing college. Coming from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in sociology, he grew a quiet conviction that there was a different kind of life worth building. A life defined not by the linear corporate ladder many of his peers were climbing but by genuine curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep connection to place, he found all three in Manuel Antonio.

With more than 25 years of experience, he specializes in challenging transactions, luxury properties, and strategic market guidance. As Sales Director of Marina Pez Vela, he also oversees advanced residential and maritime development, keeping the company at the forefront of where the market is heading. Under his leadership, 2Costa Rica Real Estate has grown from a two-person operation into a respected, integrity-driven brokerage.

Scott is consistently described by our agents as a hands-on mentor who puts people and integrity ahead of quick wins, making himself constantly available as an on-the-ground resource for Costa Rican real estate. This collaborative ethos, combined with his work ethic and deep local expertise, is the core of the company’s professionalism and standards in practice.
