Meet Alejandro Amador

His connection to Avellanas began in 2001, when a surf trip to the area led him to develop a small community of residential lots. That early project marked the beginning of a long-term commitment to the region and gave him firsthand insight into its land, development potential, and evolution as a sought-after destination for real estate investment in Costa Rica.

Today, Alejandro helps local and international buyers navigate the process of purchasing property in Playa Avellanas, Hacienda Pinilla and the surrounding communities. His experience includes residential lots, development land, luxury homes, investment properties, and real estate opportunities. His background in land development and project planning allows him to look beyond a property's immediate appeal and help buyers evaluate its potential, location, and suitability for their goals.

In 2009, Alejandro expanded his experience by joining a real estate development company in Tamarindo. His responsibilities included condominium sales, rental management, common-area administration, and strategic project planning. This hands-on experience gave him a broader understanding of real estate ownership, property management, and the operational aspects of residential developments.

In 2015, Alejandro joined a major international real estate franchise, further expanding his expertise in luxury property representation, land sales, development parcels, and transactions involving buyers, sellers, and developers from diverse backgrounds.

His professional track record includes significant sales throughout Guanacaste, including the developer's representation for The Point and The Enclave sales Avellanas, the sale of a $5 million development property for the Numandi community in 2022, a $5 million home in Hacienda Pinilla in 2026, and a $1 million development lot in Avellanas in 2026.

As of October 2026, Alejandro has recorded $7.6 million in real estate sales volume for the year.

Alejandro holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from San José, Costa Rica, and completed his high school education in New Zealand. His analytical background complements his practical real estate experience, particularly when evaluating land, development opportunities, and property investments.

Outside real estate, Alejandro shares his life with his wife, Maricia, an interior designer and owner of Vital Design and Architecture, a leading interior design firm in the Guanacaste area, and their two children. Their professional connection to design and construction provides additional insight into the possibilities of building, renovating, and improving properties. The family is also involved in their local church community, Casa Vida.

Alejandro speaks English, Spanish, and Italian, allowing him to work with buyers from different countries and backgrounds.
