Meet Maria Jimenez

She was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica. What began as a two-week quarantine trip to Jacó in 2020 turned into a life-changing decision — today, María, and her family proudly call the Costa Rica Central Pacific Coast home. She holds a Business Degree from the University of Costa Rica and has co-founded multiple ventures, including a shipping company, a gym chain, and various businesses across sectors.

 

With hands-on experience in vacation rentals, construction development, importing and exporting, and retail operations, María brings a solid entrepreneurial foundation to every project. Her diverse background, combined with a natural passion for business and investing, led her to pursue a Real Estate Agent certification with the CCCBR in May 2021. This transition was a natural evolution — her business knowledge and investment perspective give her clients a strategic advantage, particularly those exploring opportunities in Costa Rica’s growing market.

 

María serves as a mentor with Vital Voices and is a board member of Junior Achievement Costa Rica, reflecting her commitment to leadership, education, and community impact. She has collaborated with clients, investors, and colleagues from around the world in industries such as technology, hospitality, entertainment, and franchising.
