Welcome to our third edition of “Get to Know Your Agent”. Today, we bring you a little piece of Dina Tochluk. Professionally, Dina is a go-getter, ambitious, and an innate seller. But she is also known in the office for being friendly, easy-going, and down-to-earth. Todd, the co-founder of 2Costa Rica Real Estate, trusted her enough to let her open what she calls her “most ambitious goal in life”: a franchise in Papagayo. And it’s sure to say that she has not let him, nor the company, down. Let’s find out more about the human facade of Dina and what makes her so important to our team.
1. What Was Your Dream Job as a Child?
My dream job as a child was to be an actress or a circus girl.
2. Why Did You Decide to Become a Real Estate Agent?
I love sharing what I know of the area, at the time Manuel Antonio, and helping other people find their living space in such a magical place to call home.
3. What Do You Love Most About Being a Real Estate Agent?
I love the matchmaking
4. What is the Biggest Challenge?
The whole process from beginning until the end. It’s a fun challenge and all different steps and levels of mental and emotional focus. Every deal is different and you learn something every time. From showing the right property to negotiating the right price, and getting everything aligned for the closing, all the way to the moving day, it’s always something that has its own challenges and individual know-how. But it is part of the industry and part of what I love!
5. What is the Most Rewarding Aspect of Your Work?
The biggest reward is when the buyer finds the “it” place- there is a click that happens and it’s so fulfilling. That and then when I run into clients once they are installed and I see how happy they are and confirm that was the best decision they ever made.
Rewarding is finding someone a new home and watching them prosper in their new life venture.
6. What Do You Do in Your Free Time?
In my free time, I love to hike - take a drive - spend time with family, and -before covid- travel.
7. If You Did Not Live in Costa Rica, Where Would You Want to Be?
I would live in Peru or Japan.
8. What is Your Most Ambitious Goal in Life?
Opening 2Costa Rica Real Estate Papagayo- I’m doing it right now.
